I jumped right into the cool, refreshing color of June and got the pieces cut for 80 aqua blocks. Actually, they're not all aqua - I also included some turquoise shades too. Really, anything that I thought didn't quite fit into the box of blue fabrics.
These blocks will become 2" finished bow ties for my (first) Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2016 quilt.
I love these colors and am really excited to get the little blocks all sewn up!
what a delightful pile of aquas! welcome, and have fun!

DeleteThis is a first for me this year in RSC, and it is fun isn't it? Such a wonderful group of quilters I'm finding too, some new to me some I already know. I'm so glad June is these colours. :-)
ReplyDeleteYay - nice to meet another first timer! This is a fantastic group of quilters. They're so encouraging. :)
DeleteThe whole bowtie block will finish at 2 inches! WHOA. That project is going to last you a good long time. it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYes - 2" and they're so cute! I'll make about 800 over the course of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, but I won't quite need that many. It's just easier to make 80 a month than tracking some odd number. Thanks for commenting!
